Description

A window latch lock is a device used to secure a window in place. It consists of a latch that is attached to the window frame, and a lock that is attached to the window sash. When the window is closed, the latch slides into the lock, preventing the window from being opened. This type of lock is commonly used in homes and other buildings to prevent unauthorized access and to improve safety.

Window latch locks are easy to install, and are available in a variety of styles and finishes to match the décor of any room. They are also very affordable, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve the security of their home or office without breaking the bank.
The white finish blends seamlessly into most window frames, preserving the aesthetic appeal of your home while ensuring security. Each lock and keeper set fits perfectly on double-hung windows, proving to be a reliable replacement for existing latches.

Ideal for horizontal and vertical sliding windows made of aluminum, wood and vinyl in interior and exterior rooms.

FAQ

1.What to do if the sash locks don't work properly?
If the sash locks on a double-hung window don't lock properly, check the alignment of the locks. Close the window completely, push the upper sash (or sashes) up to make sure it is fully raised into the frame, then press down on the lower sash (or sashes) to make sure it is fully lowered into the frame. Pressing on the sashes will ensure that the locks are properly aligned so that they can engage with each other.

2.What to do if the sash window doesn't open or close properly?
If you have difficulty raising and lowering a PVC sash window, make sure the pins at the bottom of the sash are properly seated or engaged with the balance shoe. Difficulty in operation may also occur if the sash balance does not properly hook into the hole at the tip of the sash track. This can be fixed by following these steps: First pull the lower sash toward you until it is perpendicular to the sash, then lift one side until the sash's locking pivot arm releases from the sash balance, and repeat on the other side. Lift the sash out of the window frame and place it in a safe place. Next, using a flat-head screwdriver, turn the balance shoe a quarter turn to lock the balance in place. Then, using straight or curved needle-nose pliers, pull up on the hook until it lines up with the hole at the top of the sash track, and insert the hook into the hole. Reinsert the lower sash into the sash and check for proper operation.
