FAQ
1. What is the security of tubular cam lock?
The cylinder of a tubular cam lock is round, and the pins inside are arranged radially. This unique structure allows it to have more key combinations, making it more difficult to pry or knock open than ordinary locks, and it is more secure. For example, there are many holes on the surface of the cylinder, the size of which matches the holes on the lock body and ensures concentricity. When the key is inserted, the notch on the key fits into the pin hole, and the length of the notch corresponds to the length of the upper pin, so that the contact surface of the upper pin and the lower pin coincides with the contact surface of the lock cylinder and the lock body, and the lock cylinder can rotate freely to lock or open the door.
2. Is the tubular cam lock durable?
Usually made of materials such as stainless steel and brass, it can resist physical attacks and environmental factors, has a long service life, and can maintain its integrity even in harsh environments.
3. Is it easy to install tubular cam lock?
Despite its complex design, it is relatively simple to install and can usually be retrofitted into existing systems without making major changes, making it a practical option for upgrading security. During installation, it is generally necessary to drill a hole at the lock body installation location, then place the lock body into the hole and secure it with screws or fasteners.
