1.What if the touchscreen is unresponsive?
Dust, dirt, or age may be to blame. Gently wipe the touchscreen and avoid using overly wet or harsh cleaners. If some buttons are visibly worn or overused, the touchscreen may need to be replaced.
2.What if mechanical parts are stuck?
Check the alignment of the bolt and strike plate. Door shifting may cause the bolt to stick. Try closing the door slowly to see if the bolt can align properly. Sometimes just fine-tuning the strike plate is all that is needed. You can also apply some dry lubricant to the bolt to help it slide more smoothly. If the door is shifting, you may need to readjust the strike plate so that it fits the bolt perfectly.
3.What if I forget my password or have a problem with user access?
If the password doesn't work, you can try resetting the password. Follow the lock's manual, which is usually easy to reset and reprogram. Make sure you enter the password in the correct order. Some locks require specific buttons to be pressed before and after entering the password. Also, some locks allow a limited number of user passwords to be set. If the limit is reached, you will need to delete the old password before adding a new one.
