How do I install a drawer lock?
Prepare the drawer and lock: Remove the drawer contents and clean the drawer thoroughly, then unpack the drawer lock kit and familiarize yourself with its components. Place the lock body on the side of the drawer and mark the position with a pencil. Place the hasp plate in the cabinet or drawer frame and mark the position.
Drill holes: Use a drill bit of the appropriate size and carefully drill holes at the marked locations, keeping the drill bit perpendicular to the surface while drilling to ensure alignment. If the drawer material is thin or fragile, you can apply masking tape or painter's tape to the drill holes to prevent damage. Remove the drill bit periodically during the drilling process to clean wood chips or debris.
Install the lock body: Place the lock body in the designated hole and tighten the matching screws with a screwdriver, being careful not to over-tighten to avoid damaging the lock. If any screws are too long, cut them off with pliers. Make sure the lock body is firmly installed and not loose, otherwise the lock may not work properly.
