FAQ

1.How to install non-perforated glass door locks?

Framed glass door: EM1000 series magnetic door locks can be used, and the installation method is similar to the embedded installation of ordinary doors. Glass doors need to be equipped with aluminum alloy frames. Because the lock suction and spacing requirements are less than 6 mm, the distance from the door edge to the door frame must be less than 6 mm, and the floor spring must be of stable quality.

Frameless glass door:
Use a U-shaped bracket to place the magnetic lock: Put the U-shaped groove together with the rubber buffer and stainless steel gasket on the glass door, lock it on the glass door with a headless hexagon socket screw, and then fix the relay plate on the U-shaped groove. There are different types of installation parts for different glass door thicknesses and different types of electromagnetic locks.

Use AB frame for installation: First fix the AB frame to the glass door with glass-specific glue or double-sided tape, and then fix the relay plate to the bracket.

2.What should I pay attention to during installation?
After tightening each assembly screw, repeat the test several times. If each action is not smooth, loosen the screws, adjust the position and try again until it is suitable.

Before installation, make sure that the thickness and material of the glass door meet the requirements of the lock to avoid affecting the installation effect and performance.

3.What should I do if the lock is stuck during use?
If the jam occurs in a low temperature environment, it may be due to dry or hardened grease that hinders the operation of the switch inside the lock. You can try to clean and relubricate the lock, but first test the electrical function of the latch according to the maintenance manual to confirm the problem and avoid unnecessary disassembly.

If the lock jam is not caused by weather reasons, it may be that the mechanical parts inside the lock have failed. At this time, you may need to contact a professional maintenance personnel for inspection and repair.

4.How to ensure the safety of the lock?
Choose a non-perforated glass door lock with reliable quality and good brand reputation. Its material is usually made of high-strength structural steel or zinc alloy die-casting or stainless steel, which can effectively overcome the shortcomings of iron and zinc alloys that are easy to rust, age, and lack of rigidity.

During installation, the correct method and steps should be followed to ensure that all parts of the lock are firmly installed to avoid safety issues caused by improper installation.

Check the use of the lock regularly to promptly identify and deal with possible problems, such as the lock cylinder is not flexible to rotate, the lock tongue is not smoothly extended and retracted, etc.

5.How to clean and maintain non-perforated glass door locks?

You can use a clean soft cloth to dip in an appropriate amount of neutral detergent, gently wipe the surface of the lock to remove dust and stains, then wipe it clean with a clean damp cloth, and finally wipe it dry with a dry cloth.

Avoid using detergents containing corrosive ingredients to avoid damaging the plating or coating on the surface of the lock.

Lubricate the moving parts of the lock regularly. You can use special lock lubricating oil, but be careful not to use too much to prevent the lubricating oil from seeping into the lock cylinder and affecting the normal use of the lock cylinder.

6.How to choose a suitable lock when the lock fails and needs to be replaced?

Choose the appropriate lock model and specifications based on factors such as the thickness of the glass door, the opening method, and the installation location. For example, different sizes of locks may be required to fit glass doors of different thicknesses.

You can refer to the product manual of the lock or consult a professional salesperson to learn about the performance characteristics, installation methods, and applicable scope of the lock, so as to choose the most suitable non-perforated glass door lock for yourself.
