Description

Evergood® compression door lock handle provide mechanical advantage, ensuring tight, robust vibration resistant door closure to seal out water and dust in the most strenuous applications. The smooth operation of the Evergood® design aligns the cam behind the frame, then draws it straight up tight to prevent scraping against the frame, with a single continuous 90 degree turn motion. Its compression action provides consistent twist force for environmental sealing in gasketed applications, and helps reduce or eliminate noise and rattles caused by vibration. Over-center latching resists accidental opening due to shock or vibration.

This door lock handle also features the easy and simple installation with a screw from bottom awards. Unlike those mechanical locks that need drillings or several parts, this compression door lock just need to fastener the lock body by the mounting screw, this actually brings convenience for install and removal.  Besides, there are two versions for left-handed door and right-handed door separately.  For ODM projects, this item is available for making in different finishes and adding your company logo onto the product.

Ideal for various applications including Metal Office Furniture, Enclosures and Lockers.

Notes: It is recommended to use a damp cloth to wipe away any excess dirt or debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents for daily maintenance, as this will destroy the surface processing.

FAQ

Common door lock handle problems and solutions
a. Loose handle
Check the screws: First check if the mounting screws of the door lock handle are loose. If they are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver. Be careful not to overtighten them to avoid damaging the screws or the handle.

Check the internal mechanism: If the problem is not solved after tightening the screws, remove the handle and check the internal mechanism to see if there are any worn or damaged parts, such as springs or shaft cores. Replace these parts if necessary.
Reinstall the handle: After dealing with the worn or damaged parts, reinstall the door lock handle and make sure all screws are tightened.

b.The handle is difficult to turn
Clean the handle and mechanism: Use a mild detergent or a cleaning solution recommended by the handle manufacturer to clean the handle and the internal mechanism to remove dirt or debris that may make the handle difficult to turn.

Lubricate moving parts: Apply a lubricant, such as silicone spray or graphite powder, to the moving parts of the handle and the deadbolt mechanism to reduce friction and improve smooth operation of the handle.

Adjust the deadbolt alignment: If the handle is still difficult to turn, the deadbolt may not be aligned correctly. Use a screwdriver to adjust the strike plate on the door frame to ensure that the strike plate is properly aligned with the strike plate so that the door handle can open and close smoothly.

c.Key does not turn in the lock
Clean the keyhole: First check if there is any debris or dust in the keyhole and use compressed air to clean it out. Then apply a graphite-based lubricant to the keyhole to make it easier to turn the key.

Check key wear: If the key is severely worn, consider rekeying it.

Check door and strike plate alignment: Make sure the door and strike plate are properly aligned, which can be achieved by tightening the hinges or adjusting the strike plate.

d.Lock cylinder turns but does not actuate the lock mechanism
This may be caused by loose set screws, damaged cams, or broken tailpieces. Tighten any loose set screws and check the cam and tailpiece for damage. If they are faulty, replace the corresponding parts and reassemble the lock.

e.Key breaks in the lock
Try to remove the broken part using needle-nose pliers or a key extraction tool. If these methods do not work, a broken key extractor can be used to retrieve the fragments. To prevent future key breakage, replace old and worn keys regularly and use steady force when turning the key.
